What do you do when you are not working on the Board of North Shore Pride? My wife Lisa and I are Residential and Commercial realtors with Coldwell Banker, Manchester. We are better known as the Hope & Lisa Team. I also volunteer as a member of the Salem State University Alumni Board, I am a North Shore Community College Forum on Tolerance member, a member of the Manchester By-The-Sea Fourth of July Committee, and I am a proud member of OUTVETS, an LGBTQ Veterans organization.

How long have you been on the Board of North Shore Pride? Since inception. I am the founder of North Shore Pride.

Why did you join the Board of North Shore Pride? I started North Shore Pride because I was very concerned about the hate crimes being perpetrated against LGBTQ persons on the North Shore. I believe that North Shore Pride, through our education and advocacy, will eliminate intolerance and prejudice towards our LGBTQ community.

What impresses you the most about North Shore Pride? The way in which we have made such change in just 5 short years. We receive many messages of encouragement and gratitude for standing up and standing out against prejudicial treatment of LGBTQ persons in our community. Whether it be a hug from the mother of a 10-year-old trans girl at North Shore Pride, or an 85-year-old man attending his first Pride event, the feedback has been tremendous. We have AMAZING Board and Committee members who make all of this happen. Our Board and Committee members are all volunteers who represent our North Shore community. They work tirelessly year, after year, to fulfill our mission. Since inception we work with businesses, individuals and organizations as we Build Pride in our Community.
